In this division, Orlando Babe Ruth provides baseball for players in the 7-8 age group. Our players improve on their fundamentals and build additional baseball skills in practices that are normally two times a week. The fundamentals of defensive position play are emphasized with players working at each position to learn the responsibilities and particular skills needed when playing each position. Their skills are further improved playing games one to two times a week against other rookie division teams. The use of a pitching machine in this division allows for more hittable balls at the plate and more action in the field. In the spring, some players may have the opportunity to experience participation in post-season tournament play.
